Spring 2016 Work Schedule

Hello everyone.  We are pleased to announce our Spring 2016 schedule in the ongoing effort to make the Chambers Creek Properties a more natural and pleasant destination by removing invasive species, doing cleanup and planting where appropriate.  We have been doing this work since 2007 with the help of many volunteers and look forward to another great season working in partnership with the Pierce County Department of Parks and Recreation.  Work is scheduled on the following days and times with the provision to cancel due to inclement weather:

Tues.   March 29th  3pm-6pm                Sat.  April 2nd      9am-1pm

Tues.   April 5th        3pm-6pm              Sat.  April 9th       9am-1pm

Tues.   April 12th       3pm-6pm             Sat.  April 16th      9am-1pm

Tues.  April 19th       3pm-6pm              Sat.  April 23rd      9am-1pm

Tues.  April 26th       3pm-6pm              Sat.  April 30th      9am-1pm

Tues.   May 3rd         3pm-6pm              Sat.  May 7th        9am-1pm

Tues.   May 10th       3pm-6pm              Sat.  May 14th      9am-1pm

Tues.   May 17th        3pm-6pm             Sat.  May 21st       9am-1pm

Tues.   May 24th        3pm-6pm

We will be working at several different sites on the property and thus do not always have the same meeting place.  If we know you are planning to join us, we will contact you directly and let you know where to meet us.  This is physical, outdoor work and can be strenuous.  We make every effort to match the work with each volunteer’s ability.  Volunteers are responsible for bringing garments suitable for the weather and sturdy outdoor work shoes or boots.  The Foundation provides appropriate tools, snacks, drinks, and gloves (the Foundation has gloves available for volunteers to use, if needed).   We look forward to have you or your group join us for one session or several.
